This course is designed to provide an overview of America’s history, heritage and evolving role in the world. Students will have the opportunity to prepare for their role as participatory members of a democracy. Course content is presented in a variety of thematic and/or chronological sequences. Students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities including individual work, collaborative efforts, lecture, written and oral presentations as well as research. Assessment and evaluation will occur through a variety of techniques including written and oral tests, presentations and demonstrations.
